Celebrating Women’s History Month: Meet Anela

Paramount Recovery Services is proud to celebrate Women’s History Month.

We are proud to share Anela’s story with you, read her interview below.

What area do you work in? The area I work in is mostly Waianae – Waikiki

Where are you originally from? I am originally from Lahaina Maui, Hi. I moved to Oahu at the age of 1. The position in the company I hold is a spotter.

Years in the field? I have only been with the company for almost 3 months. But I look forward to years to come with this company.

Daily Tasks? What do you coordinate? My Daily tasks consist first with checking in my company vehicle and filling out my condition report before heading out to the field. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are days I run accounts from my Clearplan app. If I have a unit that needs to be picked up, I coordinate pick up with my supervisor/tow man atm. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I grid. Trying to get as many LPR reads as possible. Before my shift is done, I always make sure to fill up the gas tank then return to the lot to offload and check out of the company vehicle .

Who is a key player on your team? I would have to say EVERYONE is a key player on my team because without everyone’s kokūa (help) the functions with our daily tasks would be a bit more complex. Everyone has a special job to make sure that the operation of the company flows at the best of its expectations. But as for my team in Hawaii, Brad is hands down the MVP of the Hawaii team. On barely any sleep since moving the company here, Brad makes all possible at any time and every time he is needed with a great “let’s do this” attitude. He is truly awesome!

What part of your job would you consider yourself to be really good at?  I would consider myself to be really good at spotting cars. When I run accounts I get really excited when approaching a location, I enjoy taking my time to search the location because most times I find the unit that needs to be recovered hiding.

What’s your favorite part of the job? My favorite part of the job would have to be calling the recovery unit in to get picked up. It’s my favorite part because I feel like Im helping the company exceed our expectations as a team.

What are some of your hobbies? Some hobbies I enjoy are hiking and going to the beach with my family, I am so blessed to be able to live in Hawaii and I never take the ocean & mountain views for granted.

Anything else you would like to add? Although I have only been with the company for a short period, I am very excited to see how I can grow and exceed here with Paramount.
